Navigating Environmental on the Hwy 85 Widening Project: From Initial Studies to EIS Re-Evaluation and Beyond

Presenters will provide an overview of the environmental aspects of the U.S. Highway 85 widening project, including how the original studies were started in 2015 and what has gone into updating those field studies. The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) re-evaluation process will also be discussed. Other unique environmental topics will be explored, including how the 56 environmental commitments are applied to different phases of the project and how they are tracked to ensure their completion during design and construction. The Section 4(f) de minimis determinations and process will be included.
