Public Engagement During the Stabilization of an In-town Landslide

Construction vibrations produced by past efforts to stabilize a landslide in West Fargo have created concerns among adjacent property owners about the potential effects of another stabilization project undertaken in 2024. Barr Engineering and project partner SRF conducted community meetings to understand citizen concerns and explain the proposed project. As a result of their forethought and the resulting risk-management strategies, Barr, SRF, and NDDOT's project was successful and post-construction surveys found no damage to nearby homes or businesses.
